Hi!

 

I'm Brianna Gallardo and I’m a film and video editor currently looking for opportunities in film or television post-production. I’m a graduating senior from Northwestern University where I studied Radio/Television/Film and Latinx Studies. My primary focus is video editing, but I enjoy color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics as well! I'm fascinated with the editing process, as I'm detail-oriented, make creative decisions, and am receptive to making constant revisions, all necessary for bringing a story to life.

I’m driven by a desire to increase thoughtful representation for underrepresented groups in media, especially for Latinx stories and voices. My background deeply informs my voice as a creative storyteller, as a daughter of Mexican immigrants from a low-income household. I take inspiration from my background, and am proud to bring my perspective into new spaces.

Much of my work is inspired by my own dance background, and I’ve edited concept videos before working with other choreographers to create a seamless product. I also interned with Heat Dance, where I created short form promotional videos.
